Cookies.

The short version: this site uses no cookies. No profiling cookies, no analytics tools, nothing loaded from third-party services. It saves two entries in your browser's storage, and they are there to remember which language you want to read in. That is why you will not find a consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Why there is no banner

A banner exists to collect consent when a site installs cookies that go beyond technical operation: audience measurement, advertising, recognising you between visits.

There are none here. And a banner, in order to remember your choice, would itself have to write something into your browser: a trace installed to ask your permission not to leave any. The only two entries this site saves are the language ones, explained below, and those need no consent.

What your browser actually downloads

The site is made of static pages. Opening one, the browser downloads the stylesheet, the logo image, the site icons and the manifest file; on the front page, in addition, a small script for the animation. All the rest of the code — the menu, the reveal of blocks on scroll, the language notice, the contact form — is written inside the page, not a separate file.

All of these come from the site's own domain. No request goes out to any other domain: no remote fonts, no libraries from content delivery networks, no embedded frames, no tracking pixels.

Cookies and browser storage

The pages of this site write no cookies at all: none technical, none for measurement, none third-party.

They do use two entries in your browser's storage, for one thing only: remembering which language you want to read in. trustdap-lingua lives in local storage and holds the language you chose — the value is it or en, nothing else. trustdap-banner-lingua lives in session storage and remembers only that you dismissed the language notice without choosing one.

How long they last: the session one disappears by itself when you close the tab; the local one stays until you delete it. Both are cleared from the browser settings that wipe site data, and clearing them breaks nothing — the site simply goes back to offering the language your browser asks for.

Why you are not asked for consent: these are technical entries, written to your device to carry out a preference you expressed yourself. They contain no identifier, they do not say who you are, they never leave your browser — they reach neither us nor anyone else — and they serve neither audience measurement nor profiling.

What about the contact form?

The form on the Let's talk page saves nothing in your browser and sends nothing to any server of this site: it opens your own mail program with the message already composed, and you are the one who sends it. It works only with JavaScript enabled; without it the form stays inert — it declares no address to send to and its submission is disabled.

What happens to that data once sent is described in the privacy notice.

If this ever changes

Should the site introduce tools that require non-technical cookies — audience measurement, say — this page would be updated first, and the consent request required by the regulation would appear.

Until then, what you read here is the site's actual state.
